A Little Princess

Sara Crewe's devoted and wealthy father enrolls her in an exclusive girls school in Victorian London when he leaves for India. Left alone, Sara uses her powers of imagination, her wisdom, and her generosity to befriend the other girls, regardless of their age, intelligence, or heritage.

When her father dies suddenly, Miss Minchin, the headmistress, strips Sara of her status as a little princess and forces her to be a servant girl, living in a cold and desolate attic. Her neighbors across the rooftop, an ill gentleman and his Indian manservant, take an interest in the stoic and gentle Sara, while looking for the lost daughter of a business partner. Their friendship and kindness restore Sara's hope, and when it is revealed that Sara is, after all, the child they have been seeking, justice prevails Miss Minchin is chastised, Sara is loved, and everyone is able to find a little princess inside themselves.
